Trend Line

When analysing data sets, it is often important to see how the data behaves over a certain period of time. It could happen that building works in the vicinity of the water distribution system lead to an increase in water turbidity, which over time goes back to normal levels. The graphical display of the turbidity data over time forms a line that shows an increase in turbidity initially and then possibly slopes back to normal levels. This line indicates the behaviour or trend of the turbidity and is called a trend line.
