An aerosol is a suspension of fine water droplets in the air. Aerosols can be created by taps with an aerator, water spraying from a shower head or water leaving the top of a cooling tower. The air flowing through the cooling tower can aerosolise water droplets into the atmosphere and even a water mister at a public event sprays water onto a fan for cooling.
